Previous Minister of Education, the prime supporter of Transparency International and Bring Back Our Girls campaigner, Obiageli Ezekwesili, has stowed an international appointment while putting Nigeria on the guide.
The International Institute for Electoral Assistance (International IDEA) has named Democracy
Ambassadors in front of the Global State of Democracy distribution, to be propelled in November 2017.
In the previous 40 years, vote based system on a worldwide level has gained huge ground, however, this advance has backed off as basic difficulties have developed. To add to the worldwide endeavours to secure majority rules system, International IDEA has built up The Global State of Democracy production.
The Democracy Ambassadors have been entrusted with putting the focus on the difficulties and improvements of popular government that are featured in the production—joining International IDEA's call to help and protect majority rule government.
The Democracy Ambassadors are:

3. Sergio Bitar, Former Chilean lawmaker, International IDEA Board of Advisers
4. Emine Bozkurt, Dutch lawmaker, previous Member of the European Parliament, International IDEA Board of Advisers
5. Laura Chinchilla, Former President of Costa Rica
6. Jan Eliasson, Former Deputy Secretary-General of the United Nations, Former Swedish Minister of Foreign Affairs, Chair of the Stockholm International Peace Research Institute (SIPRI)
7. Gareth Evans, Chancellor of the Australian National University and previous Australian Foreign Minister
8. Obiageli Ezekwesili, Former Vice-President of the World Bank's Africa division, Co-organizer Transparency International
9. Surin Pitsuwan, Former Secretary-General of the Association of Southeast Asian Nations (ASEAN), International IDEA Board of Advisers

The official dispatch of The Global State of Democracy distribution will occur on 15 November in Stockholm. Extra dispatches will be held in Geneva, New York, Brussels, Oslo, Cotonou, Lima and New Delhi, among different areas.
